SGR Services

  • Geologic Exploration & Mapping
  • Economic Evaluation of Mineral Resources (includes rip rap & armor stone certifications)
    • Conduct mineral reserve and economic analyses, aggregate and other industrial mineral quality testing/analyses, geologic mapping/modeling, hydrology studies, report & map preparation with recommendations for land owners, geologists, mining engineers or senior management. Reports typically include geologic maps, cross-sections, and detailed analysis of economic evaluation.
    • Perform US Army Corps of Engineer Class 3 Rip Rap and Armor Stone Certifications.
    • Manage exploration and geologic evaluation of Greenfield sites, expansion of existing mine operations, or strategic potential acquisitions, including drill crew supervision.
    • Interact or represent owners with various federal, state, and county regulatory agencies relative to groundwater, surface water, land disturbance activities, UST abandonment and remediation, and mine safety.
  • Slope Stability Determinations
    • Identify rockfall hazards and recommend slope stability mitigation methods.
    • Experienced using Colorado Rockfall Simulation Program (CRSP) to determine rockfall hazards and potential slope reconfigurations to minimize rockfall occurrence. CRSP studies can be utilized to insure mine plans provide a safe working environment.
    • Use Rock Pack and  CRSP software to evaluate slope safety factors, which are recognized as industry standards for slope stability evaluations by MSHA and other regulatory agencies.
    • Compliance with regulatory agency standards and citation reviews
